Nicolas Vari shares is experience as he attended Day 1 at PCO 2025, with focus on rectus femoris graft and live clinical cases in hip surgery.
Best-of-Congress: synthesizing global knowledge and trends
Third year attending the PCO for me, and still as excited as ever to see what this congress has in store !
“Best of Congress” sessions were particularly insightful. It provided a great overview of key takeaways from other major congresses and highlighted emerging ideas—especially valuable for those we weren’t able to attend themselves.
Rectus femoris in practice: insights from the virtual fellowship
Camilo Helito’s “Virtual Fellowship” was very informative, notably his focus on the use of the rectus femoris in daily practice.
It’s encouraging to see this approach gaining traction internationally, as we also use it regularly in Toulouse.
Coffee and meal breaks throughout the day were a great opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues from across France and abroad.
Live clinical cases in hip surgery and engaging discussion on injuries in elite athletes
Hip sessions were also very insightful.
Once again, I particularly appreciated the « Live clinic » session, which provided an opportunity to observe various approaches presented by international experts.
This clearly highlights that there is no single solution to the challenges we face in our daily practice.
To conclude the day, we had a very engaging discussion with Vincent Clerc about the experience of injuries among elite athletes—especially in rugby, a major sport in our region and one we frequently encounter in our practice.
Another successful day—looking forward to the next one!
