Practical Course Orthopedics 2026

Dear Colleagues, dear Friends, dear Industry Partners,

From May 21–23, the Practical Course Orthopedics (PCO) once again lived up to its name. Held in Toulouse, France, this year’s edition brought together more than 350 orthopedic professionals from over 30 countries for three intense days of learning, exchange, and innovation.

The course offered far more than lectures. Participants experienced immersive learning through Virtual Fellowships, hands-on workshops and Live Clinics covering both hip and knee surgery. We discussed both conservative and prosthetic approaches for these two joints, allowing for a truly comprehensive exploration of the full surgical spectrum.

The highlight for many: the ESSKA pre-course on ACL and rotational instability, offering valuable anatomical and technical insights into treating complex knee conditions.

Throughout the Live Clinics, attendees had the rare opportunity to observe real-time patient assessments and clinical decision-making by world-renowned experts. A powerful way to connect theoretical knowledge with clinical realities.

Another standout session was the Best of Congresses, which distilled key insights and technical takeaways from the world’s top orthopedic meetings into one dynamic session, making PCO a true hub of comprehensive knowledge.

Thanks to the quality of the programme and the spirit of open exchange, PCO 2025 delivered a unique, enriching experience: practical, innovative, and alive.

In 2026, we will continue to expand on this foundation. With the guidance of our international faculty and scientific committee, we are committed to offering a comprehensive, patient-centered programme in knee and hip surgery, enriched by cutting-edge content and real-world insights.

We are excited to introduce new practical sessions dedicated to surgical techniques, offering participants even more opportunities to refine their skills through hands-on experience, as well as 'Back to the Basics' workshops.

PCO will return in 2026 for another outstanding edition. Stay tuned for the official dates!

We look forward to sharing, learning, and advancing orthopedic excellence together once again!
